ART GUILD “HANDS ON” DEMONSTRATIONS HIGHLIGHT SPRING FAIR
Over the past 32 years, the WOODSTOCK-NEW PALTZ ART & CRAFTS FAIR has emerged as a major east coast venue for high quality juried art and craft work, all represented by the artists themselves. It has also been well acknowledged as a show where one can view a wide variety of demonstrations.
This spring, the fairs will add an additional twist to its usual array of demos, now partnering with the CATSKILL MOUNTAIN ARTISANS GUILD to allow the visiting public a chance to participate in many of the media categories represented at the show.
The demonstrations will include wood turning, weaving, fused glass making, spinning, woodworking and more. There will also be separate demonstrations for children of all ages.
Scott Rubinstein (co-director of the fairs with his brother Neil):
“the Catskill Mountain Artisans Guild, of Margaretville, New York, is one of the most successful guild stores in the Northeast. They screen their artists and craftspeople very carefully. The gallery-store is laid out elegantly with the artists themselves manning the store. It’s a great honor to have them onboard for the fairs and we are confident this is just the beginning of an exciting venue for our shows.”
